Shortlisted in the Print category, this speculative piece was created for the IAPI Young Lions competition in response to a brief for Children in Hospital, a charity whose volunteers bring play and comfort to children during hospital stays.
Our concept showed how the power of play can transform even the most clinical moments. The ad featured a child’s hands — hospital bracelet and IV tube visible — colouring over a hospital brochure, turning medical text into a joyful drawing. This simple visual metaphor turned a “hospital stay” into a “play day,” reflecting how volunteers help children escape into imagination and reclaim a sense of normal childhood.
